Alexandra Picton is an experienced bushfire consultant specialising in bushfire planning, assessment, and compliance. As a BPAD Accredited Practitioner, Alexandra provides professional bushfire assessment services to homeowners, builders, developers, architects, planners, and local government authorities throughout Port Macquarie-Hastings, Kempsey, Bellingen, Coffs Harbour and Nambucca Valley NSW.
Alexandra is qualified to assess bushfire risk and provide practical, compliant solutions to meet planning and development requirements under current bushfire legislation and guidelines. Bushfire Assessment Report
A Bushfire Threat Assessment Report, is needed for developments that require a Development Application (DA), including:
Construction of new dwellings, including dual occupancy, granny flats, as well as sheds & studios that are within 6m of a Class 1a building;
Alterations/additions to existing dwellings;
Commercial & Industrial developments;
Subdivisions.
Bushfire Attack Level (BAL) certificate
A BAL Certificate is available for Complying Developments.
Complying Developments are those developments that can comply with State Environmental Planning Policy (Exempt & Complying Development Codes) 2008.
Complying Developments may include post-subdivision assessment of individual lots within that subdivision.
